Day 5 Habit Project May 16th
Still at school writing this blog and waiting to go home. I will put the phone away from my reach and listen to sports talk about how awesome the Celtics are playing! I hope you all are doing well and are strong in perseverance to rid yourself of your bad habit. Take one day at a time and take pride in winning little battles! If you slip up don’t quit, jump back on the train! I look forward to reading your posts tonight! Good luck!

Today I got home and ate a banana again. I was going to make a smoothie, but then I looked through the refrigerator for the strawberries, but we ran out of them. When I finished eating it I realized that I didn’t have an urge to eat junk food. In the future, I’m going to make sure that I have everything that I’m going to need to succeed in getting rid of this habit, by asking my parents to go with me to the grocery store, to get more healthy foods.
ReplyDeleteA all banana smoothie with avocado and cacao is my favorite! The best part about smoothies is you can be creative, try different kinds, I can give you some great recipes!
DeleteI just got home and I am about to finish my homework that I had started on the bus. Today for lunch I made myself a turkey and cheese sandwich on a baguette. I’m not sure if a baguette is unhealthy or not but it was a small sandwich. I also cut a pineapple this morning for my lunch and it was so good. Today I didn’t drink as much water as I would of liked to but I do think my habit of eating healthier is working. I solved the hot dog day problem too. Mia(my sister) said that she would take my order for hot dog day so I wouldn’t mess up my project. I also have been making myself walk to and from my bus stop before and after school to include a partial workout and to prepare myself for next year because I won’t have a ride before and after school if I don’t have any school activities.
ReplyDeleteToday I went to school school today i got home at 4. I started doing my homework finished that in a hour then it was dinner time after dinner i worked on my research paper. Now i am preparing to go out for an hour because Sam has a tee ball game today ill get home around six thirty and do what I've usually been doing throughout this habit project. What I've been doing throughout this project seems to be working the best and is really simple and happily not feeling as many temptations as I've expected so I am in my opinion am doing well and i hope it will stay that way.
ReplyDeleteToday was a successful day. Throughout the day I had 40 oz of water that I drank gradually. I had about 20 ounces in the morning then 20 during lunch. It felt good to drink it gradually rather than in a short period of time. I also drank about 30 ounces in the afternoon, while doing homework. Today, I had a total of 70 ounces. I tried a new strategy of bringing is to classes and I feel that made me more sucessful.
ReplyDeleteToday, I woke up around 7:30 to get ready for school and eat breakfast. After reaching school, I did what I think is another normal day. After school, I went home and did my homework. Then after that, I went to go to the gym that was part of the apartment building that I live in. I ran on the treadmill, lifted weights, push-ups, pull-ups, and etc for a time around 1 hour which completes my task of reducing g the time of screen time by an hour and replacing it with physical activity during the school days.
ReplyDeleteToday has been a rough day. This morning I woke up and I just didn't feel good at all. I had such a bad headache and my stomach hurt so so bad. I ended up staying home from school. During the day the only thing I did for the most part was slept. I didn't eat much but I drank a lot of water. I tried not to go on my phone for the majority of the day. Since like 3:00 I've been on my phone which isn't good. I think I should try putting my phone somewhere where I can't get to it for the future because every single day I end up going on my phone for a longer time than I had planned. Other than this setback I am feeling much better and I am doing a lot better with not drinking as much juice or eating as much junk food.
ReplyDeleteToday, After school I went home to eat a quick meal before baseball. We lost our game 4 t 1 and after that I went home to work on my homework. I also worked on my research paper. In this time I managed to drop 4 hours of screen time instead of 2. I don't think that I can do this every day but I can try
ReplyDeleteYou can Dan, use the strategies of staying busy to keep your mind occupied. I know its easy when you have baseball and homework but there has to be other activites in life you can do other than go on your phone. Keep working!
DeleteThis morning I got up and started getting ready for school. While I got ready for school I listened to music. When I listen to music instead of watching tv I get ready for school a lot quicker. Instead of being too busy watching tv I got ready for school a lot quicker. Before I went to school we had to stop at Shaw’s because my mom need to get something for lunch. The morning goes a lot smoother when I do not watch tv. So then I was at school til 3:15 and my grandmother picked me up from school. We had to go to Shaw’s and price chopper. When we got to her house I did my homework til around 5:20. After that I got changed for soccer. After that I did watch tv for about an hour while I ate dinner. Around 6:15 my mom picked me up ,we got my friend and went to soccer. Soccer was til 7:30 and when we got home I have been watching YouTube for about an hour and a half. So after I am done my blog Iwill go and finish my research paper. Today was good I did limit tv in the morning and after the blog tv will be limited for about another hour.
ReplyDeleteToday, after school I went to the stables to check on my horse and I rode her for about 2-3 hours. That's my normal routine. Then I also did my homework at the stables and hung out with friends. I didn't even pay attention to my phone. For food I had fruit and vegetables. Then I had to decide what to pack for Ohio in 2 weeks. When i got home i finished my research paper. So i did good today. I'm wondering if tomorrow will be as okay as today. Only time will tell. Everyone is doing great on this project, keep it up guys!
ReplyDeleteLast night I watched a steam so I went to sleep a little later and only got 7 hours of sleep. So I failed to get more sleep. Then I woke up did my morning routine and went to school. At lunch I had a Gatorade again. After school when I got home I had a bottle of water. For dinner I had nothing to drink. So the only water I had today was the water bottle. Today I pretty much failed every aspect of this project and tomorrow I will try to drink more water by bringing a bottle of water to school.

DeleteLast night i got great sleep and woke up feeling excellent. The weather was good and the day was also good. Tonight i will continue on the same pattern I've been doing for the past few nights. Hope when i wake up tmrw i will feel just as great as i did today waking up.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to stop taking the sleeping pill it is not working at all. I couldn't go to sleep until 3am. After I got home and did my homework, I chased my sister around the house trying to play tag but every time I tagged her she ran away from me. After that we ate dinner and I feel extremely tired so I'm going to go to sleep. Goodnight
ReplyDeleteThis morning i woke up and wasn't feeling my best due to lack of sleep. I woke up and used my phone on the way to school which was really bad to do. I don't know why i did when i had other things to occupy myself like reading or something. After school i went to afterschool and did some of my homework and left my phone in my bag. When my brother picked me up from school we went to the mall because he needed clothes for his trip. My little cousin came so that eased the urge of using my phone so i hung out with her instead of being on my phone. After that we went to outback for dinner and was still with my little cousin. Then i went to cheer when i came back i did homework and now im doing my research paper. And i will read instead of using my phone before bed to tire myself out.
ReplyDeleteThis morning I woke up and had toast for breakfast, and once again, drank water. For lunch I had a peanut butter sandwich and for a snack I had a banana. I also had a water bottle with me for the school day. On my way home in the car, I used my phone, which is not what I intended to do. I was hoping that I would remember not to use it, but I failed. I will try my best to leave my phone in my bag on the ride home tomorrow. When I got home, I ate some strawberries and drank more water. I did some homework and then I listened to music on my phone. Overall, today was a good day, but not exactly successful.
ReplyDeletetoday I woke up late whoops, ate breakfast, got ready, and left for school. I DRANK 85 OZ!!! Throughout my day I drank my 32 oz water bottle. I got home from school and I had to get ready for dance right away because I had to pick up my friend. While I was at dance from 5-8:00 I drank my 32 oz water bottle.
ReplyDelete( refilled it ) When I left dance I had to get dinner so I got dinner and with it instead of getting lemonade I got a water which was in a medium cup (21 oz). Overall I drank 85 oz because I refilled my 32 oz water bottle when I was done and drank the whole thing and then I got the 21 oz water. I've barely been on my phone because I was at dance for a long period of time. I feel like Im doing really good with drink 60 or more oz of water per day and spending less time on my phone. I hope tomorrow I drink the same amount of water as I did today since I have dance tomorrow for 5 hrs and I do good with my screen time.
Today after school I went to the Y and spent an hour doing my homework. Then from their I spent some time helping the little kids. It’s getting easier to not use my phone because I’m not thinking of using it as much as I was before this project.
ReplyDeleteToday I woke up feeling much better so I did my morning routine and had an apple for breakfast along with water. For lunch I had a salad granola bar and an banana. My lunches usually never change and I would say that’s already on the healthier side so I achieved my goal for healthy food. When I got home from school I had dinner and then I had photos for dance so I was running around my house trying to get ready. I was at the pictures for a majority of the night and came home and did all my homework. Although I was not able to actually “workout” I did all my technique warm ups and stuff like that so I atleast made an effort in the time I had left before I took a shower and went to bed
ReplyDeleteToday didn’t go as plan I forgot to take my dog for a walk this morning but for the future I will text a reminder on my phone . But after school I took my dog for a walk for 25min I believe and then I did my homework and worked on my research paper right now I am about to go to bed while reading my book. Ever since I started reading my book before going to sleep it started to be easy for me to wake up and go to sleep. Also my reading abilities actually got stronger I believe .
ReplyDeleteToday I ate a grapefruit for breakfast and had a salad from trader joes at lunch. When I got home I ate two slices of avocado toast with a fried egg on rye bread. Then I washed my hair. Then I did 45 minutes of writing. After 45 minutes was up, I exercised. I did crunches, reversed crunches, v-ups, mountain climbers, and went running for a little. Because I am out of shape I did not feel well afterwards. My head was dizzy and my stomach hurt. I rested and drank water for a few minutes and I felt better. Then I did the rest of my homework and watched the new episode of Black-ish with my mother and sister. I had another salad for dinner. Tomorrow I hope to increase the amount of exercise that I can do without getting tired.
ReplyDeleteYesterday I had fun after school I went for a bike ride behind my neighbors house in the sand pits and I also took my dog for a walk. After I went shopping for new boots and because I was so tired I went to sleep with no electronics.
ReplyDeleteYesterday, I got home around 5:30 and worked on homework and research paper until 9:00. I was on my computer the whole time doing work and didn’t have time for recreational screen time. After that I took a shower, ate, and went to bed. I was up all night and didn’t get much sleep at all. I was extremely tired this morning. In the future, I want to spread out my time more and not stare at a computer for 4 hours at a time.
ReplyDeleteYesterday I got home at 4. I did my homework for 1hour. I played games till 6 than had dinner. Than I read from 7-8. After I read I did math work to practice for a upcoming placement test for math.
