Habit Project Day 10 May 21st

Sitting in before school still feeling the reminants of this virus that got me but feeling much better.  My head feels clear and focused on what I need to get done!  When my head is clear and I am driving I feel no need to text.  I can be calm and just enjoy the moment rather than worrying about getting messages out to others.  I do feel sad when there are 27 students in the 8th grade and I look at the comments and there are on 18 to 20.  Some of you do not have the strategies to succeed at this project which means you may not have the strategies to succeed on other life challenges.  This project is a microcosm of life, meaning it is a challenge to change you and it is a challenge to do homework and it is a challenge to be kind in the face of mean but those that can master strategies to do so and trust in will find happiness.  Keep working hard and if you have not been start!

  1. Today I continued with my weekday challenge. I can home and made myself my favorite smoothie, strawberry and banana. I put in 1 banana, water, 1 spoonful of vanilla Greek yogurt, 5 ice cubes, and 7 or 8 strawberries. It tasted very good. When I was in language arts class I started to think about what I wanted to eat or drink. What popped into my head was a smoothie. I wanted something refreshing.

  3. Today I had school. I still continued to eat healthy but I need to figure out a way I can drink more water while I’m at school. Our bus was late again. I am currently finishing my homework. I am supposed to go to get my eyebrows done but, my parents are working and the salon isn’t answering my calls. I’m not sure if I should just go or wait until tomorrow to get them done. I’m so stressed and tired.and I’m not sure if I will do well on my tests tomorrow. Hopefully I will do good. But I did get more fruit from the store to eat.

  4. Today I woke at 6am and got ready for school and went to school. After school I walked home and started to do my homework. My throat started hurting even more than it did and my eyes hurt because of the light and I have headache. I continued to do my homework and finished. After I was done I took a shower and I took some cough and cold medicine and I'm just waiting until I fall asleep now.

  5. Today, I felt like i’ve eaten healthier that i’ve eaten these past few days. Once again. I only drank water. I ate a lot of fruit today, such as watermelon, bananas, and strawberries. After I finished my homework, I started watching netflix for 2 hours straight. I thibk instead I should’ve read a book or gone on a walk. For the future, I will only use my phone for 30 minutes.

  6. Today I had a grapefruit for breakfast and a kale salad for lunch with celery and carrots for snack. I did well with eating healthy because when ms henrion asked what flavor of donut we wanted I didn’t choose one so I wouldn’t be tempted to eat one. I kind of failed today because I had a court or brownies when I got home. Then I went to flute practice. I did my homework and then I watched scandal while I ate my mom’s Mac and cheese for dinner.

  7. Today I ate a hard boiled egg and fruit for breakfast and had a salad and a cheese stick and a banana for lunch. I had a quarter of my bag of pretzels after school. I walked to my aunts house from the bus stop and when I got there I did all my homework. I consistently drank water throughout the day. It was also my cousins birthday so we ate dinner at my aunts house and had ice cream for his birthday. Then I went to the fire station to pick up shirts that we got from a friend. Finally we went home and I worked out and took a shower and drank more water. Then got ready to go to bed

  8. So last night I couldn’t sleep at all so I only got 6 hours of sleep. But I balanced everything out with drinking lots of water today. I didn’t have water until I got home, I drank two water bottles while playing on the PC and another for dinner. So I hope that tonight I get more sleep and not be as tired in the morning.

  9. Today I got up at 7:30 and started to get ready for school. I did not listen to music or watch tv. After I finished getting ready I had a couple little donuts for breakfast. Then we drove to school abd theb got out at the regular time. Then my aunt picled me up and dropped me off at my grandmothers house. Then I went in the house and did my homework. While I did my homework I had a snack. Which was chips abd they were good. After my homework was done I got changed for soccer around 4:20. I then had something else to eat, when i had the chips I only had about 7. While I had my snack I watched tv from 4:35 til 4:50. Then we went to shaws and my grandmother got groceries. We also went to the bank. We went back to her house and I dinner. Which was chicken and I also watched about 10 minutes of tv. Then I had soccer til 7:30. Then got home and relaxed. I also watched tv. When I got home from soccer I could of done better on watching less tv but I still did good on limiting tv.

  10. Today I woke up at 7 and I forgot to eat breakfast. I got ready for school and as soon as I got to school I was starving. I didn’t use my phone much this morning which was pretty good. Later on today I had a fruit salad and water for lunch. Throught the end of the day I started to develop a really bad migraine and I went straight to sleep when I went home because I knew the only way I would feel better would be if I rested. When I woke up I had pasta for dinner and water. Later on as a later snack at about 6 I had watermelon and I’m now getting ready for bed.. I’ve been using my phone more tonight which isn’t good.. I feel as if I’m doing good with drinking water and not eating junk but for some reason I’m having trouble breaking my social media habits

Today i woke up went to school got home around 4 again did my homework helped my mom with some yard work till dinner after dinner i hung out downstairs till what the time is now and it was a mixture of just hanging out with my siblings and watching the celtics and the Lightning, Caps game just flipping back and forth with a combined time of an hour and a half so it is now ten and i am going to head to bed.

  12. Today I woke up at 7:00, ate breakfast, got ready, and went to school. Today was a pretty good day at school. When I got home from school I took my dog for a walk. When I got back from taking him for a walk, I had a snack. I had strawberries and grapes. I had to get ready for dance right away even though it’s not til 8 because Emma had a softball game. I was outside for a long period of time. I got all of my homework done on my way to the softball game. After the game I had dance from 8-9:00. Today I drank 64 oz of water. I WAS BARELY ON MY PHONE TOO!! I only went on my phone 5x including now. I’m proud that I’m being successfull at not going on my phone as much. I also think I wasn’t on my phone much was because it was about to die. I hope tomorrow I have a good day and am continuing being successful with my habits! :)

  14. I woke up at 6:30am today and I took my dog for a walk , I usually wake up at 7-7:30 so this really made a difference . I had way more time to get ready and prepare myself for a great start to this week. After -school i went to my dad’s office and we left around 5:15 so I got home around 6ish. And even thou it was late i still walked my dog . I had already finished my homework so I watched Netflix and now I am study for my vocabulary test since we had to memorize sentences this will be my reading time for this night

  15. I woke up at 7 am and ate my breakfast. After school I spent most of my time at the YMCA doing homework and helping clean around the room. I went to my grandpa's house for an hour and walked around the forest. I got home and haven't really touched my phone.

  16. sorry for the really late post i can’t sleep. so i woke up this morning and went to school . after school my sister picked me up in after school and we went to the mall to pick out clothes for athletic night and a dress for the dinner dance. i really wanted to hang out with my sister so i didn’t use my phone at all and neither did she really. when i got home i did my homework and studied. after my homework i went to sleep but now i’ll awake trying to fall back asleep. i’m trying not to use my phone because i know that it won’t make me tired. so i am going to read or just watch tv

  17. Yesterday was successful. I drank 60 ounces of water. I didn’t drink it throughout the day, but I did drink it throughout the afternoon. Yesterday I went to the barn and that’s when I drank it. I forgot to bring a water bottle to school, so I couldn’t drink water while I was at school.

  18. Yesterday was another successful day. I woke up at 7:30 to get ready for school, then at 8:30 I left my APT to go to school. For the rest of the day in school was another normal day. When I got home, I did my homework and went to the gym for an hour. What I did in the gym: lifting, running, etc. after that I went home took a shower and ate dinner. After that, I lived a normal afternoon and went to sleep.

  19. I went Mt. Wachusett again for hiking didnt go as hard as last time got 18:27 and I ate more and i am noticing an apparent increase in weight since the start of the hobby project.

  20. Yesterday, I was at the stables with my friends horse after school, that's why I didn't have time to comment. So it was a pretty average day for me besides not having a horse to ride anymore. For breakfast I had berries and for lunch I had my normal salad with strawberries and a homemade italian dressing. Then for dinner I had chicken catatiry for my uncle getting out of the hospital. Then we had cake but I didn't have it. Now I can control my cravings or urges to eat something sweet. So instead of cake my grandma made me a strawberry and banana smoothie.

  21. I wake up did my homework went to school study for my final exam I draw picture did some codeing for fun did my physical active I walk 6.6 mi that’s my high record of walking since I started the project
