Habit Project Day 13 May 24th
What have you learned about yourself? Whether your on your way to a healthier life style or you quit two weeks ago and haven't thought about the project there is something to be gained in every experience. I learned I am capable of better and that when my mind is right I can help others better. When my mind is off I have selfish desires which prevents me from reaching my top wellness. This is an end in some many ways for you all. Such a turning point in your lives and I hope for the better but that is not guarenteed. It takes work every day to be great. There is no time off from being kind to yourself and others but life will throw you curveball after curveball. How will you cope with lifes curveballs? I hope this project helps you understand a little bit more about how habits affect decision making and how you work as a person.

No texting and driving for me. I am dealing with a annoying cold that came on early this week. Why do I tell you this...well for sympothy ...
I learned that if I want to reach my goal I’ll do it. At points I may not accomplish it but I get right back up and pick up where I left off. I also learned that a weakness for me are homemade baked goods. A new goal that I can make is slowly do away with it or eat it less often.
ReplyDeleteI have learned that creating a good habit is not that hard if you create a goal. I won’t be able to get to the place I want to be without working hard to get there. Now that I am eating healthier I will maintain my new healthy lifestyle. I will continue to make better decisions about the foods I eat and soon get to my goal. Since it’s only been 2 weeks doing this project, I haven’t seen quick results. But I will continue with my good habit and hope to see results soon.
ReplyDeleteI learned that creating better habits always has a result. I will still try to eat healthy but i probably need sugar to keep me straight. The end result of this project is that setting a goal for myself kinda pushed my limit just a little. I didn't give up. The healthier I eat the better and more energized I feel. I will make good habits for myself and see what the end result is. Everyone did great throughout this project, always set goals for yourself!
ReplyDeleteDuring this project I learned that breaking bad habits is not so easy.. I learned that breaking habits you never thought were that bad in the first place take time and effort. I feel that throught this project I had both my highs and my lows.. I know that I will not instantly be able to solve my problem considering it was so hard to solve in the matter of time we did this project. But I feel that if I continue to work at it and keep setting goals for myself that I will be able to finally accomplish my goal!! I am genuinely proud of myself for trying as much as I did and I’m proud of my mom as well because she was doing this whole thing with me!! I think that after this I will go on to always push myself to keep a healthy lifestyle considering how good I felt during this project.. That’s all. I’m proud of myself and I’m proud of my mom and I really hope that I will be able to continue setting the same goals and living a healthy lifestyle
ReplyDeleteI learned that when you try to lessen or completely get rid of a habit, it creates new habits, healthy or not. In my case, using my phone less created the habit of me reading for a little while. Avoiding junk foods and juice and soda created the habit of eating many fruits, and only drinking water. I am hoping to maintain drinking lots of water, maybe only drinking juice or soda once in a while.
ReplyDeleteThroughout this project I’ve learned that creating new habits and breaking old ones is hard if you are not strict with yourself. If you enable yourself to do things you know is not right then you will never achieve your goal. Drinking water was not hard at all, but it was hard to remember to do not because I had to for this project, but because it benefits my health. Before this project I drank about 20 ounces a day and now I’m drinking about 60 a day. I will definitely continue drinking as much water as possible. Just because this project is over doesn’t mean that I can’t still improve and work at it.
ReplyDeleteDuring this project i learned that there are a lot of temptations to what your trying to give up and just have to push through them but at the end of the day it was a positive experience for me and i hope i can continue breaking this bad habit after the project too and i have learned that if i put my mind to it that i can i can do anything and i hope i can continue with this project with other bad habits because in my opinion this project was a success for me.
ReplyDeleteDuring this project some habits are easier to break than others. I was doing very well we th the eating healthy part but now so much with the exercising. When I exercised it always felt tiring and boring. If I am going to exercise more I want to do it in a fun way like joining a sports team or exercising with a friend. But maybe I should have been more motivated, if I exercised everyday I might have started to like it. I am doing some sports camps this summer and also joining more sports in high school so that might make me want to start exercising more.
ReplyDeleteDuring this project I have learned a lot. It has shown me that not wactching tv in the morning and listening to music really does help. So after this project is done I will continue to do this. This will help to limit my habit of watching tv. I have also learned when breaking a habit it is hard but worth it. It may be hard at first but in the long run it really helps. I will continue to limit the amount of tv I watch because it is better than always being on your phone.
ReplyDeleteDuring this habit project I was very inconsistent. Sleeping I can control by turning off the lights and closing my eyes, but sometimes I can’t fall asleep and that I cannot control. Now every day I drank water. Some days I drank what seemed a lot to me and others I really didn’t drink any. I’ve learned that it is hard to achieve your goals if you don’t push yourself all the way through. After this I hope to at least drink one big glass of water a day. I also hope to get more than 6 hours of sleep at night. In the end result I wouldn’t call this project a failure but I didn’t achieve the results I was hoping to obtain.
ReplyDeleteI learned during this project that trying to change my sleeping schedule is very hard but I now go to sleep earlier than I usually do. I spent more time with my family than I ever did before and I exercised more. This motivated to go outside and play instead of staying inside watching tv or being on my phone.
ReplyDeleteDuring this project i was pretty consistent. I slept with all the lights off which i usually do anyway but it helped more. More sleep helped me be more active and stay awake in school. I want to get more than 7hrs of sleep consistently for the rest of the year. Breaking my normal sleep habit was quite easy and didn't really upset my schedule all. This was easy for me and it taught me more sleep = more activity throughout the day.
ReplyDeleteThis habit project has taught me a lot. When I started the project I didn’t feel as energized as I am know because of how much water I’ve been drinking every single day. I also see myself not go as my phone as much as I was doing before. When we started and we charted our week I added up how much I spent on my phone and it was a total of 11 hrs per week. Now I only go on maybe phone maybe 2 hrs max. This project helped me improve. I’ve learned that water gives you so much energy and makes you feel really good. I’ve also learned that screen unables you to do more productive things . Even though we are ending this project, I’m still going to continue with this. I’m going to drink my 60 oz of water each day and also limit my screen time.
ReplyDeleteThis habit project has told me a lot about myself. I realized I dont need to be on phone all the time playing fortnite or watching people stream. I’ve been getting more sleep and am a lot less tired at the end of the day. This all has helped with sports too. I’ve been awake and more aware during practice every day. I’m going to try to continue with this. I’m going to keep getting more sleep and reducing screen time.
ReplyDeleteI learned that there thousands of different things I could do in a day rather than just use my phone. I never really realized how much my sisters look up to me, and how much they pay attention and try to do what I do. Me off my phone more and playing with them or helping out with the younger kids at the Y they noticed it and really started spending more time outside or with me. I am going to continue this project because it was actually kinda fun and I'm getting used to not using my phone 24/7
ReplyDeleteDuring this project I learned that I can do other things except playing fortnite etc during the day. To learn and to teach myself to go outside will reduce my time on a device and at the same time keep me healthier which is great. I am going to continue on this project because football season is getting closer and closer. By the time I get there, hopefully I’m ready to go.
ReplyDeleteThroughout this project I have learned that sense I already eat healthy food on a daily it was much easier to eat that way full term. I also have learned that plAnning your food out a day before helps keep your mind on the right path and it’s much easier to accomplish your goals. I also learned that it’s good to push myself not to give up because I feel really good after workouts. Although the last day doing this challenge I broke because I couldn’t drink a lot of water because the bathrooms at dance broke and I was Ganna be there till 9 so I didn’t want to have to go pee.
ReplyDeleteWhile doing this project I learned more about myself . I learned that if I want to do something I can do it if I really wanted too. This project also made me closier to my dog because before this project I really didn’t walk him or pay attention to him I know that sounds silly but it’s true . I also got closier with my family members I believe when we went on walks . I also learned that I like reading books before bed before this project I wouldn’t even think twice about reading a book before bed all I would think of is social media . It also helped me go to bed earlier and helped me to be determined to finish something . This project was very helpful to me and help to set new habits
ReplyDeleteI went hiking for leg day i got 16:03 up i ate more and drank more and have increased by ten pounds since beginning of hobby project. I udefinetly will keep this up. I learned that giving a little time for exercise can change you.
