Habit project day 3 Monday May 14th

So far so good today! My commute to work I had no phone use. My morning commute is only 2 miles but takes 10 to 15 to get here. I usually listen to the radio show Toucher and Rich on 98.5 the sports hub, which discusses local sports. This usually entertains me because I find Fred Toucjer, one of the hosts hilarious. Also, in the morning I usually do not have many people to text because everyone I know is going or at work and I am focused on drinking my tea and smoothie. I hope I can do well this afternoon when planning time for after work is more prevelant. Good luck today!

  1. Today I got home and felt tempted to have something unhealthy, which was fudge stripes cookies. I was going to eat a mango but it got old, so I ate a banana.

  2. I just got home about 30 minutes ago. I was just finishing up my homework that I had started on the bus. Today I had school so I basically learned the entire day. When I first was picking out my habit that I would give up, I didn’t think about how I would do it at school because I obviously can’t drink lots of water while I’m at school. But I did swap out my crackers for strawberries instead for lunch. I also walked to my house from my bus stop today instead of calling my grandfather to get me. My challenge is going good right now but I think it started a bad habit. Ever since I started the project, my parents have been telling me that I have been leaving food out. For example, yesterday I left the watermelon out of the fridge over night and it went bad. So while doing my project, I am also going to make sure that I don’t forget to put things away.

  3. Today , I used my phone in the morning for a alarm clock and the whole ride to school I didn’t use my phone because I was talking with my brother . I finished all my homework and worked a lot on my research paper without using my phone . Right now I am at Barnes and nobles to get a book to read a night instead of using my phone

  4. ^ also when I got home from school I walked with my dog and my neighbors to the park and around my house and I jumped on my trampoline with my neighbor for physical activity today .

So i woke up today did my daily morning routine then i went to school for six hours then after school i had a orthodontist appointment then i got home around 4:30 had a snack then did my homework plus some of my research paper which took about 2 hours then i had dinner now it is currently 6:10 Pm and i just plan on taking a shower and spending time with my siblings.

  6. Today, I not only reached my goal, but I overachieved it too. Throughout the past couple of days I have been drinking the 40 ounces of water within an hour, but today I drank it throughout the day. This morning I drank about 5 ounces of water, which is normally something I wouldn’t do, but I liked it because it made me feel productive in the morning and woke me up. Then I drank 16 ounces of water throughout the school day. Then while doing my homework and dinner I drank 40 oz. Then, I did some physical activity and I am drinking a 40 oz water bottle, which I will finish tonight. So today I drank about 100 ounces of water today!!

  7. So today when I got home from after school I did my homework for about 2 hours that would have on electronics and after that I helped my mom clean the kitchen

  8. Today I got home did my homework which took me an hour to do and then I went outside for an hour to hang out with my friends that are in neighborhood. I had to come back in to finish my research paper and I wasn't feeling tired at all but in a few minutes I'm going to take my sleeping pill and try to see if that works out.

  9. Today I did my homework after school. Than I went to walk around my apartment complex for around 30minutes. Than I played games till 9 and now I’m starting to read befor I go to sleep.

  11. Today, I woke up and ate breakfast, but instead of drinking orange juice, I drank water. Then I went to school. I was going to grab oreos as my snack to put in my lunch box, but I realized that’s part of my bad habit so I grabbed an orange instead. When I got home, I ate some animal crackers and drank some more water. I worked on my research paper and did some homework. Then I took a shower. I did use my phone less today, but not as I intended. I’m still trying to decrease the screen time I get more and more.

  12. Today I drank about 24-32 ounces of water, compared to a regular day of maybe 1 ounce.

  13. I will be trying to sleep more for the extent of this project. My goal is to add 2hrs every night. I usually only get like 7-8 hours on school days so i will try and improve this. I will try to accomplish this by setting an alarm schedule for each week that reminds me when to go to sleep. I think i wild pretty good at this as long as I stick w/ the plan.

  14. I woke up today and ate yogurt with blueberries and granola. Then I walked to my bus stop. For lunch I had a kale salad with pieces of chicken and carrots and celery. After school I walked home from the bus stop but I bought a popsicle on the way home ☹️ When I got home I had more yogurt with berries and granola, some chicken and a carrot. (I love to eat). After I ate my mom drove me to music class. After music I came home and did my homework. I had some toast with a fried egg then went back to do some more work. Then I took a shower. And now I’m writing this. Then I will go to sleep at 10:30

  15. Today I woke up at 7, got ready, had breakfast, and went to school. Throughout the day I drank my 32 oz water bottle and finished it right after school. When I got home I had to eat dinner right away because I had to go to my sisters softball game. I drank 8 oz of water for dinner. We went to my sisters softball game and I didn’t go on my phone! WOOHOO! Then I had dance from 8- 9:00. At dance I had two 8 oz water bottles. Then I got home and I had 4 oz. I only went on my phone for a total of an hour. Tomorrow I hope I do as good as I did today with my habits.

  16. Today I was feeling really dizzy and sick to my stomach so I had to stay with my grandpa. I ended up sleeping from almost the whole day until we had to visit my uncle in the hospital. I didn't really do any physical activity today but walk small distances.

  17. Today after school I was very busy because my mother’s birthday is tomorrow so we have to make the house look good so far I have been going good with not using my electronics and after the project I wish to continue doing it for as long as I can

  18. When I woke up i used my phone to play music in the shower and then read one of my books on the way to school. After school i went out with my aunt to get food and used my phone to text my parents. When i got home i went outside for awhile. When i came inside i did my research paper till now lol and now i used my phone for about a half hour and set my alarms for tmr etc. Now instead of falling asleep to tv im going to read until i get tired.

  19. Today, I woke up 7:30 for school and went on normally through school and came home. First thing I did was went and did my homework and did some research and played games with my friends and did not go outside, failing to achieve my goal of reducing 1 hour of screening time

  21. So, this morning when I woke up I did not check my phone right away. I went downstairs to eat breakfast,took a shower, got ready, and then instead of going on my phone I read a book for about 30 minutes. Then I got in the car and used my phone to check my social media for about 10 minutes and then I turned my phone completely off and placed it in my bag. For the rest of the drive I just talked to my grandfather and we actually had a great conversation. Then for lunch I ate just fruit and instead of having a juice box i drank a water. Then I went home. On the drive home i used my phone for about 15 minutes. When I got home I left for dance and didn't bring my phone with me. When I got back I used my phone for about 3 hours. It's currently 10:12 pm and i am just finishing my homework. I had some trouble staying off my phone while doing my homework. I will do a better job at focusing on just my homework tomorrow night.

  22. This morning I got up and sat in the living =room with my mom instead of watching tv. So then I got ready and drove to school with my mom. i got dismissed around 2 by my cousin, so after school i didnt watch tv. Instead my cousin took my cousin and I out for ice cream. Then I ran an errand with her. After that I went to her house and did my homework. After that I went and got ready for soccer. My cousin braided my hair, so it looked good. Now it is already around 6:30 and I am at soccer til 7:30. After soccer I went home an painted my nails, while doing that I did watch tv. the good thing is a did limit watching tv for over a hour. For dinner we had pasta and meatballs, dinner was delicious. I went back into my room and worked on my research paper and left my phone in the kitchen. So while doing research I listened to music. I worked on research for over a hour.Today was a good day.

  23. Yesterday, I didn't have time to post so I'm doing it this morning. So I got up and I didnt fell good because of sunday. So I was reading and didn't really watch tv or went on my phone. My cousin brought some food home for me but when I are ate it I didn't feel to good. Then I worked on my research paper for about 1 1/2 hours. Yesterday was an okay day for me

  27. May 14,
    I was sick today so i was not very active. It was challenging to drink only water when we had grape juice which makes my stomach feel better when i am throwing up. So today was very unsuccessful but i will try again tomorrow.
