Habit Project Day 4 tuesday May 15th

No texting and driving for me.  I havent even thought about my phone in the car at all the last three times I have driven.  They have been short drives to and from work but it is good I have not texted while driving.  I do understand that because conciously I have not thought to touch my phone texting was not going to happen.  It will be interesting when the thought pops in my head to send a message how I will deal with it.  Will I remember not too, will I be able to resist the urge.  Time will tell!  Hey everyone I still need someone to set my notifications for me to help with the ability to text and drive in the first place. I hope you all are experiencing success and learning aabout the way that you work!  Don't let slip ups stop you from getting back on track!

    1. When is it the hardest? Identifying the triggers can help you find new ways to solve the problem!

    2. Mr. Phillips, I believe there is a setting in your settings app that is called Do Not Disturb. If you turn that on I believe it stops you from getting texts until you turn it off. I hope that made sense!

  2. When I got home I really wanted to eat goldfish, but I walked away and ate a banana instead. Then I sat down and started my homework, and one of my cousins were eating goldfish another one was eating fudge stripe cookies and my sister was eating goldfish too. They were at the same table as me. Believe me I really wanted some. To not give me an urge to eat it, I thought of dinner. In the future I will try and eat not just a banana but maybe a smoothie that I make at home.

    1. Life is full of urges and temptations, finding a balance is so important ! I am proud of your choices, keep working on finding new solutions and do not starve yourself avoiding junk food, find more and more alternatives!

  3. So far so good this challenge is going well for me so far. Today I got up did my daily routine and went to school again. As soon as i got home i had to put every in the basement for the upcoming thunderstorm after that i did my homework/research which took me an hour to an hour and a half. Now i am going to take a shower and spend more time with my siblings and head to bed around 9. So this habit project is going well for me I have been doing practically the same thing every day and enjoying it and feeling way more productive throughout the Experience.

  4. Today I had school. I have been making the effort to eat healthy and it’s been going very good so far. Everyday for lunch I used to eat white bread with my sandwiches but I switched to whole grain and whole wheat. I don’t think I will ever allow myself to go back to white bread after I figured out that it wasn’t good for me. Ever since I started eating healthy and working out somehow everyday, I have been feeling much better. I feel more energized and I have noticed that my skin has started to clear up a little bit. Also I have been remembering to put away things after I use them. But the only bad thing is that I just realized is that I ordered a grand slam for hot dog day last week and I don’t think I should eat it because I will ruin my goal and the project so I am thinking of giving my order to my sister, but I don’t know if she will want it.

    2. Great work Stacia on making positive changes so far. You could eat the grand slam on Thursday or inform your teacher tomorrow about your goals and ask for afefund. Remember all problems have multiple solutions

Today I Did GoodByNotTouching u tube could not because of the stormButI Walk homeFrom the bus stop i walk up 5 hills today so i counted that has my PhysicalExerciseForToday.It was really hardNotTo useYou tube but It was Ok at 1 Then i could not go outside for my PhysicalActivityAnd i had to findSomethingElse to do so i was fixing things for fun.

  6. I did so good driving around today! I caught myself multiple times thinking of texting or using the phone! Each time I told myself it’s not worth and and turned the radio to music I enjoy. I also tried to take in the moment I was in looking at simple things like the sky and trees! Keep rocking everyone!

  7. Today I drank 60 oz of water. Although I drank my goal, it was not as good as yesterday. Although I (for the most part) have been drinking my goal I need to work on how I do it. It feels better to drink it gradually throughout the day, like I did yesterday rather than in a short period of time, like today. Today I felt during the school day I could’ve had more water. Today during the lunch and gym I drank 40 oz of water and 20 between 5 and 6. I will work on drinking it throughout the day rather than all at once or in a short period of time.

  8. So yesterday night I got about 8 hours of sleep and woke up at about 6:45. I did my morning routine and went to school without drinking any water. I had school today so, for lunch I had Gatorade instead of water. After school when I got home I had a big glass of water about 16 ounces. For dinner I also had water but only drank half a glass. So far I haven’t reached my goal of the amount of water I would like to have, but I’m working towards it. I’m not a big fan of water so this project is going to be inconsistent with the amount of water I have but I will try to drink as much as possible.

    1. What could you do to enjoy water more? It may not be that your not a fan of water but you have trained yourself to need sugar. Try a few days without it and you may enjoy it more!

  9. Today I woke up at 7:30 and did normal things at school, walked home and did my homework. Right after that, I went to the gym for an hour. Which completes my task of reducing my time of screening time.

  10. Today I woke up at 6:30, got ready, ate breakfast, and went to school. Throughout my day I drank my 60 oz of water. I feel more refreshed know that I have been drinking water instead of anything else. Tomorrow my goal is to drink 70 oz of water since I have dance. I feel like I've been doing good with drink 60 oz per day but I do want to step up my game a little bit. Today I went on my phone for about an hour after doing my homework and I haven't gone on it since. I hope that I reach my goal for tomorrow and I only go on my phone for a short time.

  11. So today i woke up and used my phone just to play music. Then on the car ride to school instead of using my phone I talked to my mom. When i got out of school i left my phone shut off in my bag and then went to the mall with my aunt just to walk around. When i got back in the car I used my phone to text my dad that i didn't have cheer. When I got home i did some of my homework and then went out to dinner with my neighbor. I was very tempted to use my phone at dinner but i didn't and started to play a game with my neighbor. I used my phone the car to text my dad that i was going to go to my neighbors house because we both have papers to write and we are now working on them together. So idk if this counts but im on my computer a lot to write my research paper.

  12. Today I woke up and ate yogurt (again!). Then I walked to my bus stop. I had gym today so that was a little bit of exercise. For lunch I had kale salad with chicken (again!) and celery, carrots and cucumbers for snack (again!). After school I walked home from the bus stop and ate a grapefruit. I did my math homework then worked on my research paper all evening. I had pasta with marinara sauce for dinner. Since I spend so much time doing my paper, I find it hard to get any exercise. Tomorrow to make sure I get exercise I will set a timer for when to stop writing. Then I will exercise for while and after that I will keep doing my work. I feel frustrated because I'm not keeping up the exercise part of this project but I am eating healthy so that makes me feel a little bit better.

    1. Pick a workout before hand that you plan to do! I have a million of them ask me tomorrow and I will do it at the same to you plan to do it!

    2. I went to sleep at 2 in the morning which means the sleeping pill didn't really do anything but make me stay up or maybe it was because I had my tv. I should take an hour before I go to sleep to calm down and relax my mind so it will be easier to fall asleep. My sister wouldn't let me exercise because she was very scared of the thunderstorm and its kind of hard for me to say no to my sister when she's crying so I stayed with her. Today didn't go as I anticipated.

  13. This morning I got up at 7:30 and took a shower. When I got ready for the day I listened to music, so that was fun. So I did not watch tv. Then we drove to school. We were at school til about 3:15. On the way back home my cousins in the back seat watched a movie. So I just went on social media and talked to my grandmother. When I got to my aunts I did my homework. Then I got ready for dance but it got really bad out, so I did not go. My dance studio is 30 minutes away and I don’t get out of dance til 8:30. So this gave me time to send it with my cousins. My cousin Ryan and I watched supper buddies and ate goldfish. I did watch a movie with him for like 20 minutes and then he wanted to go play with his cars. I had dinner with my cousins and we had ice cream. Then my mom picked me up at my aunts. We went home and my cousin came over my house for like 30. Then she left and I went and sat on my moms bed and watched YouTube for a hour and then did research and I am so close to being done! Now it is 10:02 and I am saying goodbye to the blog for tonight.

  14. Last night I set my alarm and went to bed around 10:30pm instead of my usual 12pm. When i woke up I felt much more energized and overall better. Tonight I forgot to do this update so I broke my schedule of 10pm alarm. To fix this I will do this first everyday when I get home. ( ͡° ل͜ ͡°)

    1. Can you set a rescue ring reminder for your alarm instead of having to do it everyday? Good idea though!

  15. This morning, I was tempted to drink orange juice, but I decided it would be best to drink water, so that’s what i did. For lunch at school I had soup, and for a snack I had oranges. I also brought a large water bottle to school today, which helped me stay hydrated and energized throughout the day. When I was on my way home in the car, I used my phone. When I arrived back home I did some homework and went to recital practice. Then, I took a shower and finished my homework. Now I am going to drink a glass of water before bed, and read a book. For the future, I would stop using my phone in the car and communicate with my mom more than I usually do.

  16. Today was a good day . This morning before i got ready i took my dog on a walk because my mom told me there would be a storm after that i felt energized and ready to start the day. After school when i got home i took my dog on another walk because the storm had not come yet. Then i did my homework and worked on my research paper until now. In the future i am going to try to walk my dog in the morning because i felt energized this morning. After i finish this i am going to finish up my book and go to sleep

  17. Today was good I spent about three hours off of any electronics and I replaced the electronics with exercise and it was difficult to not take out my phone to talk to someone or watch YouTube but I got it done

    2. I spent a couple of hours at the YMCA and ate more. In the future, I hope to adapt to this routine and be able to go to the gym and eat intermittently without forcing myself to.

  18. I spent a lot of time at my uncle's house after school because it was his birthday. Then I was so gonna want some cake but I had to stop the urge by going outside and have some time to myself. Then I rode my horse for about 30- 40 minutes but she was afraid of the storm. Let's see what tomorrow has in store for me. Good luck everyone!

  20. Today was fairly similar to yesterday for me. I didn't use my phone a lot during the day but at night that changed. I had a long dress rehearsal for dance and during my spare time i didn't know what else to do so I used my phone. I also forgot bring food and drinks with me so I ended up not drinking anything which was probably the reason I felt so sick afterwards.

  21. Today I did my homework right after school at the Y. Then I spent an hour with the little kids at the pool since I go swimming on Tuesday’s with the younger kids. Then I got home and helped distract my little sister from the storm which was playing music and board games as a family.

  22. Today I got up and thought I was going to go to school so did my morning routine but then got sick again and threw up so I stayed home. I stayed very hydrated although I did not eat much food. When I did have food I had a salad for dinner and then I slept more. I reached one of my goals but did not accomplish the physical activity part
